OUR VIEW ON PERFORMANCE CHIROPRACTIC

PROMOVE’S CORE VALUES

We Fit our Care to You, not You to our Care

We strive to find the ideal chiropractic treatment protocol to meet you at your unique state and advance to get you to your health goals.

Assess, Never Guess

A thorough history, exam and movement assessment is key when developing a chiropractic plan for each patient. If a thorough assessment is not performed, then we may as well be guessing. Guessing can lead to wasted time and money, which neither of us want.

Educate and Empower

The word doctor originated from a root word meaning “to teach”. We find it important to explain why you’re in pain, how we came to this conclusion, and our plan to resolve it. Since we are only with the patient for a short amount of time, we want to empower the patient with the tools to take control of their health outside of the office.

We Will Help

We pride ourselves on doing everything we can to help each patient. We understand our care may not always be the answer. If we come to the conclusion that another method of care may be more beneficial, we will never hesitate to direct you to the care most beneficial for you. Your health is our top priority.

Meet your Local Omaha Chiropractor
Dr. Dalton Sealey

Dr. Sealey wants to help his patients get out of pain while still allowing them to do all the activities they love. He wants to empower them to take control of their own health by providing them with the tools to do so! A vast amount of this empowerment is accompanied by education so the process is easily understood.

Dalton was born and raised in Hastings, NE where he attended Hastings St. Cecilia High School. He was a lifelong athlete and can’t remember taking a season off from sports. He was able to compete in football, basketball, and track, winning a number of State Championships in each. Dalton fell in love with exercise and the process involved in strength training, which unfortunately came with periodic trips to the chiropractor. He was fortunate enough to go on to play collegiate football. Sadly in his 2nd season he suffered a non-contact ACL tear. Without the knowledge at that time, he wondered “How?”, I am young, strong, and an athlete. In hindsight, the reasonings behind this injury are very apparent. He participated in a standard physical therapy protocol consisting of range of motion work, ice and STIM, isolated muscular work, and was back to squatting in the weight room when he was released from care. He now recognizes that for the best long-term outcome in performance many steps are missing in the standard healthcare model of handling many common sports injuries. Especially when returning to competition is the goal. Needless to say, many smaller surgeries and cortisone shots followed in years to come. Dalton later graduated from University of Nebraska at Kearney with a B.S in Exercise and Wellness, where he was also a captain of the football team.

While attending Cleveland Chiropractic in Kansas City, Dr. Sealey continued his love for the intricacies of human anatomy and physiology, while now learning how to properly diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions. He also enjoyed many extracurricular education courses including Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Functional Movement Screen, OnBaseU, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 and Medical 2 Provider, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and Certified Running Gait Analyst.

At ProMove, Dalton prides himself on providing up-to-date, research driven, care. Dr. Sealey embraces his place within the healthcare model where treating musculoskeletal conditions is his specialty. Dalton believes the #1 predictor of an injury should not be previous injury, which currently is true. In his spare time he enjoys being active with a wide range of activities including: exercising in the gym, shooting hoops, catching 18 holes on the course, playing tennis with his wife, sand volleyball, and roller blading. On a leisurely note, he also enjoys reading a good mystery book, preferably by David Baldacci.

This screen is golf specific. Check your body’s ability to move in ways required for your swing. TPI specialists are used by many top PGA players. We use information from your screen and video swing analysis to develop YOUR plan to improve YOUR body’s efficiency to swing!

FMS Logo (1).png

The FMS is applied to find the movement capabilities of patients and athletes. This can be viewed as an “audit” for your fitness program since our overall goal is to MOVE better. This system is used as a movement baseline and evaluate injury risks.

Frame+17.jpg

The OnBaseU Hitting screen is for baseball and softball players to optimized swing efficiency. The screen, in combination with video swing analysis, helps us view areas which can be improved. These improvements can not only help swing velocity and power, but limit likelihood of injury.

Frame 16.png

The SFMA is the leading method to systematically diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions. This system looks at breakdowns in the body’s ability to move that may be related to the pain being present. Often time the are of pain is not the reason for the pain. We focus on limiting present pain, improving movement ability, and achieve long-term results.

The CSCS is the gold standard in the Strength and Conditioning world. This shows your provider understands the scientific concepts surrounding sports nutrition, strength training, injury prevention, and ultimately improving athletic performance. This can be valuable for health care providers to understand when performing late stage rehabilitation, and also in group fitness classes.

Running is a very demanding activity on the body, especially over thousand and thousands of repetitions. The gait analysis looks at how your running form and pain may be related. Many runners discount pain and push through, often times leading to more serious injuries that hold them out of training down the road. Get ahead of your pain!

The TPI Medical 2 certification denotes an increased knowledge of diagnosing and treating common golf injuries. Especially when your pain is present during your rounds. Seen as leisurely, the golf swing is very demanding on the body. We are able to make the treatment and rehabilitation process very unique to you and your golf swing.

“Dalton is phenomenal!! My experience with him is so different than other chiropractors. I truly appreciate how thorough he was during my intake exam and how well he listened and received my complaints.

He has given me, and continues to give me tools and techniques to stretch and strengthen my hip muscles as well as my lower back and core. Dalton takes everything into account, explains why he is doing something and what’s happening to cause the pain/discomfort, and he’s extremely encouraging. I absolutely love that he uses PhysiApp to further support me and provide resources.”
